| 30/11/2008 | VBL Showcase 2008 | Melba Hall, Melbourne University (Royal Parade) | This Concert is to proudly demonstrate the high skill levels of our top community Bands and their players, and also our outstanding soloists. It commences at 2:00 pm. Our Special Guest Artist and Conductor is Cornet virtuoso Russell Gray from the UK. Bands appearing are Footscray-Yarraville City Band, Eltham Concert Band, the Victorian State Youth Brass Band and MoJO (Mordialloc Jazz Orchestra). Soloists will be Victorian Open Champion of Champions Matthew van Emmerik, and Victorian Junior Champion of Champions Lauren Whitehead. VBL Awards will also be presented.
