IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • 2011 Dyason Awards and Scholarships to Victorian State Youth Brass Band Members have been announced at the January 2012 Annual Camp. Details here. These awards are in honour of the late Wilf Dyason.

  • DELEGATES' MEETING
    Bands and Delegates are advised that the next Delegates' meeting will be held at 10:00 am on Sunday 4th March 2012 at the Box Hill City Band Room, 411 Middleborough Road, Box Hill (Melway 47 G 9).

  • DRUM MAJOR TRAINING TO BE HELD ON SUNDAY 12th FEBRUARY 2012.

  • GUIDE FOR DRUM-MAJORS NOW AVAILABLE
    Taking your brass band to the 2012 Nationals? You are required to participate in the Street Parade. Training will be offered by the Drill Advisory Board early in 2012, but meanwhile look at this Guide for some hints. (PDF file 560 KB).

  • ENTRIES FOR 2012 AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL BAND CHAMPIONSHIPS ARE NOW CLOSED
    Entries for all sections of the Championships closed on Friday 16th December 2011. For other information please access the "Nationals 2012" web site using the button on the left.

  • VICTORIAN STATE MARCHING CHAMPIONSHIPS RESULTS
    The VBL is proud to announce the results of the State Marching Championships for 2011. They were held in conjunction with the Royal Melbourne Show on the morning of Sunday September 25th September. Five bands competed, and the results can be found here.

    Our tribute to this great composer, arranger, adjudicator and musical director.

  • Watch out for stolen Sovereign Eb Tuba serial number BE982, which was stolen from a residence in Clarinda South. If you receive any information about this instrument please contact steele.foster03@gmail.com or the owner at anlow1@student.monash.edu

  • New versions of the "Application for Registration" and the "Contest Declaration" are now available from the "Forms" area. Use the button on the left. N.B. Various forms rendered obsolete by the introduction of the new Contesting Rules have been removed from this site. Their titles have been left in place for identification only.
