VBL in Support of Melbourne International Festival of Brass

 - 24th to 30th September 2007

Most of the players from bands affiliated with the VBL play brass instruments, so the League would like to encourage everyone with an interest in playing brass instruments to (as the promoters say) "Have a Blast at the World's Biggest Festival of BRASS", in other words, at the 2007 Melbourne International Festival of Brass (MIFB)

Some of those involved include:-

• Mnozil Brass from Austria

• Wycliffe Gordon, USA trombonist

• Jens Bjorn-Larsen, Tubist from Denmark

• David Childs, Euphoniumist from the UK

• Excelsior Band from Brisbane, winners of the "A" Grade 2007 Australian National Brass Band Championships, and also the New Zealand Championships.
