Vale Robert Anthony Bowden

It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of Robert Anthony Bowden.

We advise that the funeral details are for a service at St Mary's Basilica, 150 Yarra St, Geelong on MONDAY 30th August 2010 at 11.30 a.m. prior to a private cremation.

All bandpersons are welcome to attend and anyone may bring an instrument (+ lyre) to join in the hymns (Wrights) to be played outside the Church before the service, and "All That Jazz" outside as the coffin leaves the Church. (All music will be provided)

Donations may be made to Barwon Health - Mental Health services. Envelopes will be available at the Church.

The President, Michael Walker, and the Executive, Delegates and Members of the VBL extend their deepest sympathies to mother Christina, father Wayne and his partner Julie-Anne, and to brother David. All of the family have had a long connection with the VBL. A young life has been tragically cut too short.

Robert was the grandson of the late Bert Bowden OAM, and of the late Joan Bowden. Bert was involved with the VBL for over 40 years, and was Secretary and later Administrator of the League from 1974 to 1993.
